Did you know…

A little blue penguin average lifespan is 6 years or sometimes longer.

A Little Blue Penguin is about 30cm tall – Smallest penguin in the world!

Little blue penguins eat little fish, anchovies, squid, plankton, krill and small octopus and pilchards.

Little blue penguins breed across Southern Australia and the islands of New Zealand.

It is estimated that the world breeding populations is about 350 Р600,000.  The species is not endangered but is in decline in New Zealand.

Little blue penguins are nocturnal so that means they generally do not enter the shore before dusk and they leave before dawn.
